  34. These folks have been taping and cataloging the evening news since 1968. Use the searchable index to locate a news story, then request a loan of the tape. The tapes are expensive. - at least $165 per hour of tape. This database is helpful if you just want to know when something happened. A search for the Space Shuttle Challenger revealed that the shuttle exploded on January 28, 1986. Includes Nightline and CNN.
